Description: This workshop is tailored for ECCE staff, parents and Infants teachers from the primary school to effectively support children as they transition from ECCE to primary school. The transition from ECCE to primary education is a critical period in a child’s development, requiring careful planning and support. Participants will explore the developmental challenges and opportunities that arise during this phase and learn strategies to ensure a smooth and successful transition for children. The workshop will cover key areas such as aligning ECCE and primary curricula, fostering social-emotional readiness, and building strong communication channels between ECCE Centres, primary schools, and families.

Objective:

1. Sensitize parents and teachers to the nuances of educational transition.
2. Equip participants with the skills necessary for a smooth transition.
3. Encourage reflection on children’s developmental stages.
4. Foster stronger collaboration between ECCE institutions and primary schools, aiming to enhance long-term educational outcomes.
